You have learned about some useful social media applications and how to use them for your platform website already from STS/DoIT (see "Advanced Tools" lecture slides from DoIt, posted on the class website). Also look at the platform ideas in marketing, which I posted on this blog (a long time ago...).
Do some Facebook, Twitter, and other social media search to find about what applications they offer. Of course, don't forget about Google search.
